These results had to wait a day while I attempted to bowl after golf. Operative word; attempted. I'm not sure about the rest of you but this golfer/bowler doesn't fare too well in super-humid conditions. Good golf for me lasted perhaps 10-11 holes, then the sweat took over and the productive effort level sank, or should I say stank. I contributed to the team effort for a while and then I was just the driver. Apologies to my teammates are in order. Oh yeah, bowling was similar to golf.

Anyway, this course was in excellent condition. It seems that several courses we've played in the last month or so (not counting Union Hills) were in exceptional condition considering the brutal summer we've had. I definitely should've hired some of these greenskeepers to look after my disaster lawn. The only fault I could find with the course would be the cart paths on the steep hills. Obviously asphalt creep has invaded this place and in some instances was of a dangerous nature. It appears large tractor trailers have been practicing braking on the hills and have folded the asphalt into cute miniature moguls. Quite an adventure negotiating the little devils.

But, the golf part of the course was a pleasure to play. The fairways have matured tremendously since I last played here and the greens were quite receptive and relatively easy to putt on. The only problem was that on at least 6 of the greens the cups were misplaced by at most an inch causing our team to be robbed of yet another birdie. Probably just as well, however, because thanks to the flighting system, you never know if playing well is going to be penalized or rewarded, and vice versa. In our case green frustration was rewarded.
