May 10, 2012 Results
Those of you who were unable to play today missed a spectacular golf day with weather that was truly outstanding. Good old Normandie Golf Course is still a fine institution and the Walters golf pro, Nick Doelling, is doing an excellent job handling the course waiting for some summer help to arrive. Ninety-one members showed up and two threesomes of ladies tee-off on hole #1 while we started on holes #3 through #18. The ladies did well and moved along not hindering our play or causing any delays. We appeal to all of you that if you see your name in the pairing's and you hadn't signed up to play please notify Doug Nolte, Randy Pratt, or Larry Knopfel. Also if your name isn't in the pairing's and you thought you were signed up let us know. Most of you seem to understand that part and are quick to notify us. Finally even though we state sign in is from 7 AM to 7:30 AM some of you are becoming more inclined to meet the 7:30 AM time. When we are faced with making changes just prior to teeing off it is very helpful to have more time to make those team adjustments so that they're fair and logical. Here are today's results; Tied for first place at seven under we had three teams, the Ron Muse team with Bill Emrick, Ron Maniscalco, and Ernie South, the Joe Goines team with Jerry White, Pierre Sans Souci, and Vince Koehr, and the Mike Rutherford team with Tom Gill, Perry Wood, and Don Stone. In second place at six under we had two teams tied, the Don Giarraffa team with Roger Danielson, Bob Pankey, and Bill Neukom, and the Charlie Pope team with Dennis O'Connor, Ted Schuessler, and Paul Scheffer.
