I'd be bluffing if I told you we played today at The Bluffs. Unfortunately there is no convenient way to inform everyone about no golf for the day. We could send out an email the morning of the event, if we could get hold of the course before 0600, but even then that's assuming all those involved even read their emails by 0600 or so in the morning . Still the most convenient way is for each player to call the course the morning of the event. 9 times out of 10 they will tell you they're open, because naturally they want the play, but in instances like today, where they actually closed the course, they will say so and you won't have to show up. In the past for some iffy cases most have shown up and we've actually cancelled at the course, our standard practice.
Today we had perhaps 15 or so folks show up only to learn that the course was closed and no golf. Thanks to those who did, and thanks to those who called in.
