Once again this week the weather was perfect for our outing at Wolf Hollow with cool temperatures and an overcast sky to keep the sun from blinding some old eyes! The course as usual was in great shape, fairways were fine the greens although a little pockmarked were okay as long as you landed your shot in the correct position on them. The tee boxes were okay too except for an occasional need to have a hammer to drive the tee in the ground. Doug returned from a trip to Houston were he visited his son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren and promptly announced he was heading for Wisconsin and Minnesota in the morning. We'll see him in two weeks and then Randy leaves for at trip to Hawaii for two weeks. Looks like the whole committee will be back on the job by October 8th for our final at Pevely Farms. The player counts for Gateway National(89), Aberdeen(100), and Emerald Greens(80) are a little disappointing and can jeopardize our ability to get a shotgun start when we drop below 100 players. In addition, I note that there are several members who have not bothered to communicate to us their intentions for some time now and it would be appreciated if your among that group that you let us know what your plans are for the final four outing's.
